Day 256
Isaiah 12:1-14:32; 2 Corinthians 13:1-14; Psalm 57:1-11; Proverbs 23:9-11
Trust. Draw. Thank. Call. Praise.
Isaiah 12 is a Song of Praise that begins with a direct reference from the Song of Moses in Exodus 15:2, sung after crossing the Red Sea, acknowledging God’s salvation, the people’s trust in the Lord, and gratefulness for God being their strength and song.
This passage is a description of the people’s joy in God’s salvation and reign. Today we can express our Trust in the Lord Jesus with gratitude as we Draw living water from His well of salvation and Thank the Lord as we Call on His name and Praise our Savior as we make His saving deeds known to the world.
A challenge for us might be to recite this song when we rise and before we sleep…
“Praise the Lord, who has done great things; all his works his might proclaim, I lift my voice in singing; for with me has come to dwell, in my very midst the great and Holy One of Israel.” – Isaiah 12:5-6
