God Is In Control
With the advancement of modern technology and the affluence of the Western world, many times we feel like we are in charge. We make our schedules, order food, pay bills, check the weather, and communicate across several time zones with just a few clicks from our handheld devices.
The busier we get, we seem to lose sight of the fact that God is in control and not us. His plans will be accomplished with or without using you and me. Prov. 20:24-25 warns us not to casually claim God’s stamp of approval as though God were endorsing our plans that don’t align with His will.
1 Cor. 5:20-21 is a reminder that God’s way is always better than ours. We will never match His wisdom. Nothing catches Him by surprise. He knows everything and He sustains everything. Nothing can happen without Him allowing it to happen! You can’t take your next breath apart from God allowing you. As you go throughout your day, ask God for His strength, compassion, and wisdom. Run to Him today, see where He is at work, and join Him!
